The
Elpas Temperature Sensor
is a wireless RTLS
transmitter for the remote monitoring of environmental sensitive medical
assets or environments that require strict temperature range compliance
for patient care and safety.
The
Temperature Sensor features an integrated, internal thermistor
for the wireless monitoring of ambient temperatures between -10°C & 70°C (14°F
to 158°F) with an accuracy of +/-0.5°C and with a resolution of +/-
0.1°C.
The
sensor emits EMI safe 433MHz messages that enable real-time location
defined temperature
readings to be sent via the Elpas Ethernet RTLS infrastructure to VT’s
Eiris Active RFID/RTLS Monitoring Software or to other networked
hospital management systems for computerized logging and reporting to
ensure regulatory compliance, automated alerting in case of
temperature-range deviations or programmed data analysis to help
identify usage and operational trends.
The
Temperature Sensor includes wireless call-button functionality to report preconfigured maintenance messages plus
remote device supervision to ensure field reliability. The sensor is
also IP-64 rated, cleanable with medical-grade, non-alcohol based
disinfectants and is powered by one field-replicable lithium battery.
